Unusual fields

About two-thirds of the firm’s staff are inertials, and most of them were found by our talent scout, G. G. Ashwood, rather than applying. If you suspect you may be one, read careers for people with unusual fields, and then telephone.

Working here

The firm is a quiet place to work. Staff are expected to be punctual, discreet and well dressed, and to keep the firm’s business and its clients’ to themselves for the rest of their lives. In return the firm pays well, promotes from within, and has kept many of its people for thirty years or more. Its switchboard operator of 1979 now runs the support desk.

All staff have health insurance, a pension, four weeks’ leave and, after ten years, a sabbatical. Field staff receive a vehicle and an allowance. The firm’s offices close on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and on the founder’s birthday.

How to apply

Applications

Telephone the firm’s personnel office, +1 212 014 0139, during business hours, and quote the reference. You will be invited to a conversation in New York, at which a member of staff will be present whose purpose will not be explained. Written applications may be sent to careers@runciterassociates.org. The firm is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of field.
