The FM-7 field meter replaces the FM-6

All of the firm’s field and sweep technicians now carry the FM-7 field meter, designed by Dr. Casimir Dunleavy at Secaucus. It is lighter than the FM-6, reads to a tenth of a standard field unit and keeps its calibration for a month.

Technicians holding an FM-6 are asked to return it to Secaucus. The firm notes that one FM-6, signed out to a technician in 2011, has not been returned. The technician concerned left the firm this spring to join a research institute in San Francisco. The firm wishes him well, and would like the meter back.
